Description
Metal bank from Lowry State Bank. It is an oval cylinder shape and has slots for "Cents, Dimes, Nickels, Quarters, Bills, Dimes" All the slots have the word SAVE cut out from the metal - except the two dimes slots, they have the word HAVE cut out. There are also markings next to the cut out letters. When you see the coins through the cut outs, you can read the markings on the side and know how much money you have saved. The bottom of the bank reads: " Original Compartment Recording Safe Patents" and lists patents from 1904 to 1913. "The Fortune Founder / The Automatic Recording Safe Co. / Chicago, U.S.A." The top of this one reads: Lowry State Bank Lowry , Minn. No 2 This bank was issued to Florence Engebretson Paulsrud, daughter of President Iver Engebretson.
