Description

Pair of carved wooden sandals with boat on each sole. Two supports elevate the sandal. Fiber/ twine strap is covered in red fabric and attaches to sole of sandal between toes and at either side of foot. Wood sole is stained brown on top and sides. Underside is painted dark brown/ black. Maker label attached to underside of one sandal reads "Riken / Tokyo, Japan" and has image of Mt. Fugi. (assumed)
