Description
Victor typewriter with patents from August 1889. It has a semi circle in front with letters printed on it and a moving selector lever. The lever moves a cog-like wheel which has letters on the back. On the left-hand side are two bars; one for a spacer, and the other is a striker to print the letters. The typewriter is made from black iron. There is a space between the letters and the paper, so it does not work, and the striker key does not hit the letters.
This is an index style typewriter. It is slow, but sold for much less than large typewriters, so it was an economical choice. The victor also had the first daisy wheel type bar.
