Description
Black Breathing Apparatus. On the front side from top to bottom, it has a facepiece with breathing tubes and coupling nuts. Attached to that is a valve assembly and at the other end of the tubes there is another valve assembly on the left with a metal timer bracket on the right. These are attached to a metal bracket with a metal faceplate that reads, "M.S.A. Chemox Oxygen Breathing Apparatus with serial number 32555. Below this the Oxygen Canister attaches to the apparatus from a metal container under the chestplate. As well the chestplate reads, "Permissible three quarter hour Self Contained Oxygen Generating Breathing Apparatus.with a Department of Defense seal and approval number 1307. And below that it reads Mine Safety Appliances Company, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania U.S.A." On the very bottom there is a large screw attached to the apparatus that secures the device inside the case. The sides and back of the device has black vinyl for padding with a harness attached to the back by metal hooks.
