Description

One black, woven straw, ladies boater hat. It has a wide flat brim with edges that are raised just over an inch. The crown is small and wrapped in an off-white ribbon. Sitting on the brim of the hat and wrapping around the crown is a black veil. On one side, under the veil, is a bunch of cloth, white flowers with green cloth stems. Tag on the inside sweatband reads "The Dayton Company / Minneapolis." Coming out of the inside of the hat is a strap that allows the hat to be secured under the chin. Note with the hat reads "Black Straw sailor with silk flower and black veil, light grosgrain band, 1954-1957."
