Description
This hat is made from black felted wool. The main part of the hat is shaped rather like a derby, but the crown has a wide crease in the middle where a collection of black and green feathers are attached. The wool brim of the hat is about two inches wide and is attached to the crown in a gathered seam. The outer edge of the brim is turned up to form a half-inch lip that is stiffened by a cord mounted inside the brim's edge. The feathers are primarily black , a few green, mostly 2 to 4 inches long. There is one long 12 inch feather mounted at the very top of the hat. The lining is made of black satin and is edged with black grosgrain ribbon.
