Description

This black silk dress has no collar, short sleeves and is of below the knee length. It appears to be of a 1920s style. Sewn onto the dress, front and back are hundreds of white glass beads. Around the neckline, the beads make a necklace-type pattern. Across the front bodice are beads in many vertical stripes with a two-inch border and horizontal belt pattern made of beads. The skirt section of the dress is covered with beads in a pattern that measures 18 inches, top to bottom. That pattern has a 3 inch border at the top and bottom. In between, the bead pattern make large ovals measuring 10.5 x 7 inches. This 18 inch border continues front and back with all spaces filled in with various beaded patterns.
