Description

This is a large wood plaque in a rough wood frame. "Virgil Johnson Lyon County Hwy. Engineer 1954-1975" is carved into the plaque above a green map of Minnesota with a white paper map of Lyon County Highways mounted on it. There is a business card fastened to the bottom left which reads "Bob Johnson Period Art Work Sculpting to Suit 1030 East Oakmont Avenue, Orange, California. At the bottom right, there is a hand written note, which reads: "Carved Plaque by Mrs. Donald McLaughlin, given to Virgil Johnson with Lyon County Roads and dates of his term of office as Lyon County Highway Engineer 1954-1975".
