Description

White cotton baptismal gown; inserted smocked panel in front with eyelet lace trim; placket at back of neck; one button (others missing). According to the donor's mother, Rose Conroy Barry, the gown was first used for Thomas J. Conroy (son of Bridget and Patrick Conroy), and was then used thirteen times. Overall discoloration. 4 inch tear on proper right near arm seam, 1 inch hole about 4 inches down from waist seam on proper left side.
