Description

A metal signal lantern. “New York” appears as raised markings above a raised metal circle with the word “DIETZ” above “VESTA”. “MAINE CENTRAL” appears along the lower rim in raised letters. There is a metal cage surrounding a clear glass globe with the following appearing is a raised circle “DIETZ / VESTA / NEW YORK U.S.A.” The lower part of the lantern is a typical petroleum lantern mechanism.
