Plier-like tool with round balls on the ends of curved jaws; placed in a cow's nostrils to hold it while administering medication, or to lead it; a rope can be placed through the holes in the ends of the handles and fastened to an overhead beam to hold the animal's head up; used in conjunction with balling gun 90.22.3 on the Jesness farm in Swan Lake Township, probably in the 1930s.
Originally had a bright chrome finish, now mostly rusted and pitted.
