Description
A bench-mounted grinder; threaded clamp on bottom; crank with wooden handle at one end with two large gears; two stones, one at the side is disk-shaped, the other is mounted at the center, and is quite worn; cast iron framework is painted red.

Used on the John and Helen Hennen farm in Darnen Township to sharpen sickle, mower, and binder blades.

Center stone is very worn on one side; paint is worn and framework is covered with machine oil and grease. The crank has been repaired by the donor with a new bolt, nut, and washer.
