Description
Typewriter - Cannon Electronic typewriter, model AP 300. It is the typewriter Irene used in her business - ASK IRENE. The collection consists of the typewriter, power cord, instruction book, 4 daisy wheels (one in the typewriter, the other 3 in cases), and 2 typewriter ribbon cartridges. Fonts on the daisy wheels are Script 12., Micron 15, Elite 12, and one installed in the typewriter.
In the days before word processing, this typewriter could hold a little bit of text internally before transfering it to the page. The daisy wheels were used to change the type face or font. Each petal of the daisy wheel had a different character on it. To print the letter on a page, the typewriter spun the wheel and struck the petal, which would strike the ribbon and make a mark on the page.
