Description
Cartridge belt adornment used by Union soldiers in the Civil War. The cartridge pouch was attached to a wide leather strap that hung diagonally across the soldiers body. The pouch rested on one hip, and the strap went over the opposite shoulder. This adornment fit on the strap, right over the wearer's chest. It is copper over lead.
