Description
Mystery military object used during World War I. Olivia Peterson brought it from France where she served as an army nurse. It is made of brass, measures 2 7/8" x 3/8" x 3/8". There is a screw in one end and the other end the brass is cut away in a U-shape. Inside is a bar with a hole at one end. The bar is attached to a spring. Protruding from the object is a tube 1 3/8" long, open on the outer edge.
