Materials
Description

Villard High School Band Uniform used until 1961-62. The uniform includes: (a) jacket, (b) pants, and (c) cap. It is made from maroon wool. The jacket is double breasted with gold buttons. There are 3 buttons missing - 2 from the front on the right and one from the left breast. 2 buttons are enclosed in a plastic bag, pinned inside the jacket. There are 2 gold stripes at the cuff of each sleeve. Each shoulder has a gold braided epaulets the one on the left shoulder circles under the arm. There are several holes in the wool inside the collar. The maroon pants have 2 gold stripes running down the outside of each leg. The have 5 pockets and are missing the button at the waist. The hat has a black brim, a gold band and 2 gold stripes. There is gold tone emblem of a lyre in laurel leaves in the front of the cap. There are 4 moth holes on the top of the cap, and one at the back.

These uniforms were retired in 1962 / 1963 and replaced with the kelly green uniform also in the PCHS collection.
