Country Day School was founded by Karla Klinger and Anne Uehling (treasurer) and was later formed into a co-op. Esther Gray was the first teacher there (at least as remembered by Anne). They experienced some community pushback - some people saw preschool as rushing children our of the home and implied that it wasused by lazy and/or career-minded mothers.Geographic Notes
