Description

Percussion cap pistol. SUHL VCS stamped on the side. That means it was made in SUHL by Valentin Christoph Schilling. According to our internet research, it is most likely a German Federal Naval Pistol, manufactured in 1849. Only 100 were made. It was manufactured as a percussion gun - it is not a modified flint lock. It was donated by Carl Anondson in January 1951. According to the card, it was used by his father Torgy Anondson to hunt rabbits in Langhei Township.
