Description

Steel hunting knife made by John Krapes (father of Al Krapes) from a sword that he found in the "Lost Battalion Swamp / Lost Regiment Swamp". The blade of the knife is 6 5/8" long with a curve like a sword. The blade is inserted into a 5: long wooden handle which is approximately .5" in diameter. This knife is carried in a leather holster 11.5" long, 3" wide, and comes to a point like the knife. The holster has four slots into which an individual's belt can be slipped. At the top of the holster is another leather strap 6" long and 3/4" wide which is fastened to the holster by 2 wide headed nails.
