Beaded purse. Leather handle is slightly embrittled. Some corrosion on sequins. Accretion along top on one side, discoloration and loss on top of opposite side.
(Update 10/28/2025) A letter was discovered while going through old files that is a response from The Minneapolis Institute of Arts about this handbag. Angela Casselton describes the bag as of Iroquois origin, instead of SCHS Curator Larry Hutchings belief it may have been Ojibwe or Dakota. The letter was dated Dec. 14, 1992. The letter is included in the box the handbag is stored.
