Blue plastic case for Barbie dolls and accessories. Rectangular hinged case with metal clasp. Blue plastic base with white and silver plastic accents. Both of the main (largest) sides has the following design: "Barbie and her friends DOLL CASE" on viewer's upper left; image of Skipper, Barbie, Ken, and Tuttie characters at Barbie and Ken's wedding in front a stained glass window with a rose motif; "SPP Standard Plastics Products Mattel, Inc Toymakers, A Mattel Subsidiary" on viewer's lower left corner; "'BARBIE' is the registered trademark of Mattel, Inc. for its TEEN-AGE DOLL. Used under license from Mattel, Inc. 1958 Mattel, Inc." Inside case: viewer's right side has vertical stall for four (4) dolls that can be held in place with a black string (loose on right side) and a white plastic strip at the base that has three (3) rounded knobs that were being used to hold wigs at the time of donation. Viewer's left side had a metal pole at the top to hand clothes, a shelf, and two (2) cubbies at the bottom, one of which has a removable door. Some scratches/loss from images on outside of case. Several areas inside the case appear to have been melted - above the right cubby with door, the wigs form knobs, the center divider of the stalls, and along the left side near the hinge; there is doll hair melted into some of these spots.
