Small German beer stein produced by Albert Jacob Thewalt. The catalogue no. is 1160. Body decorated with a panel featuring a scene of a male flirting with a female at a water well while a man stands in the background. Two cartouches flank the panel with the inscription, "Bier Lieb und Lied / Macht nie lebens müd!" [Beer, love, and song / Never makes life tiring!" The handle is made to look like a twisted vine.
