Lewis Edwards Account Book Manufacturer, Norwich, Comm. 2. Sold by Brown & Parsons, Booksellers, 20 State Street, Hartford, on facing page written in black ink in upper right hand corner J. Whitaker, 158 & 158. In center of page Atherton V. Treert Journal A. A 1939, on back of this page in black ink "Atherton V.Treet, Journal A to A, Commencing May 30th, 1839. First three pages have animal pictures pasted over the writing. First city to be Manchester, May 27, 1839-ending in Wasioja in 1898. Most pages are full from top to bottom with figures on what people purchased, pages are unnumbered. Janet Mathews is trying to find out why her mother had this book. Will let us know. Mother has passsed away.
