Description
A steelyard is a beam-balance lever scale. The design dates back over 5,000 years. The hanging portion of the steelyard is closer to one end while the longer portions holds a counterbalance which helps in measuring weight. This particular steelyard has two pivot points and can measure up to between 250 pounds.
