Description

Hand knit twin size bedspread made by Mrs. Gotfred (Anna Hagestuen) Nordstrom of Starbuck. It was given to her granddaughter Ruth Olson on the occasion of her confirmation from Fron Lutheran Church in March of 1940.It is knit in counterpane squares with fine cotton yarn, also known as cotton warp thread and tiny needles. There is fringe on three sides. This type of project is sometimes called a knit counterpane quilt when the squares are sewn together.
