The travel information belonged to Mary M. MacLean of Red Wing. She participated in the Foreign Language League program in Austria with other Red Wing High School students in 1964. She graduated from Red Wing High School in 1965.

According to Red Wing's Daily Republican newspaper articles, twenty-five Red Wing High School students studied through the University of Innsbruck in Mayrhofen, Austria as part of a program sponsored by the Foreign Language League of Salt Lake City Utah university. For five weeks, they studied German language, culture, economics, and politics. They also did sightseeing in other countries including France, Germany, Switzerland, Rome?, and England. Two teachers and a teacher's daughter also went. The group left Red Wing on June 14, 1964 and returned around August 5-6, 1964. The students took German classes at Red Wing High School. The Red Wing students were the first students in Minnesota to study in Austria through this program, which was a newer program.
