Pants: U.S. Army Desert Camouflage Uniform jacket of the Battle Dress Uniform worn from 2003-2005. The pants are cotton and nylon. They are light tan with large splotches of pale green and brown. The fly has 4 tan plastic buttons. There is material over the buttons. There are belt loops. Each side under the belt loops have a 5/8" wide tan woven adjustable strap with a metal buckle. There are side slit pockets at the top. On each side is a pocket above the knee. The pockets have three large pleats and bellow out. They have a straight double flap. The flap underneath has two button holes and buttons to two tan plastic buttons. The inner side of th flaps are sewn down. The pant cuffs have a drawstring of 3/8" wide dark gold grosgrain ribbon. There is a back pocket on each side with a straight double flap. The flap underneath has tw o button holses and buttons to two tan plastic buttons. On the inner flap stamped in light blue is "251612". Above the back right pocket is a tan woven patch that is 5 3/8" long x 1" wide with brown embroidered "ALLEN". The seat area and the knees have a reiforced overlay of material. At the inside back waist stamped in black is "98". Under the center back waist is a tan label with black "LARGE-REGULAR/INSEAM 29 1/2 TO/3(7?) 1/2 IN/WAIST 35 TO 39 IN/STOCK NO. 8415 01-327-5338/NATIO SIZE 75 (8?)3/(8?)(8?)05". On the inside back right pocket is a tan label with black "TROUSERS, DESERT CAMOUFLAGE/PATTERN; COMBAT/SP01(8?)(6?)-97 D-CB1o/NYLON/COTTON RIPSTOP/UNICOR SEAGOVILLE, TEXAS/1. Adjust waist size by straps on waistband./Blouse trouser outside of boots./3. Machine washing. Use Permanent Press Cycle./Wash in warm water with mild detergent./4. Hand washing. Wash in warm water/using mild detergent. DO NOT WRING OR TWIST./Rinse in clean warm water./5. DO NOT USE CHLORINE BLEACH OR STARCH./6. Dry at low heat (do not exceed 130 F)./After drying, tumble at room temperature/for 10 minutes. Remove immediately from dryer./To drip dry, remove from water and/place on rust proof hanger./DO NOT REMOVE THIS LABEL." . The printing is faded. Condition - There are light black and brown small marks/stains throughout. There are a few white spots above the left front leg pocket. There are black marks on the left knee and a light brown stain on the right knee.
Worn by Colonel Ronald Allen of Red Wing. He served in the United States Army Reserve, 10th Mountain Division with the Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command. Allen was stationed in the Kabul area of Afghanistan from July 8, 2003, to May 8, 2005.Geographic Notes
