Description

Cap: Red Wing Aces baseball cap. The baseball cap is red and white polyester and nylon. The visor is red polyester. It is 3" wide. There are 8 dark red stitched lines on the visor. The crown is in 5 sections. The front section is white polyester. In the center in silkscreen letters in red is "RED WING" and below in red with a light blue outline is "aces". There is a dart at the top center of the front section. The other 4 sections of the hat are nylon mesh. On the top is a red polyester covered button. At the back of the crown is a red plastic adjustable band with 6 pegs and holes. The bottom of the mesh that is above the adjustable band has 1/4" wide red cotton binding. Around the bottom inside (except in the very back) is a 1 1/4" white cotton? band. There is stiff material in the band. The front panel is lined with white knit material. On the inside over the section seams is 5/8" wide red cotton? seam binding. On the right inside band written in black marker are the initials "Q.H.", likely for the donor Quinten Hawkenson. Condition - There are light brown stains on the front white section of the crown. The inside band has numerous light brown stains. The cap was vacuumed on 8/15/2007. There were no noticeable bugs on the cap. However, other textiles in the display case had bugs.
