Drawing: Charcoal drawing of Emma Ingeborg Bestul Bakke, circa 1896. It was taken from Albert and Emma's wedding photograph 2009.32.8. She is wearing a black dress with a white flower in her hair. Her hair is done in an up-do. The paper is on canvas stretched over a wood frame. The drawing/image size is 16 1/8" w x 20" h x 5/8" d. It is unframed.

Albert Bakke and Emma Ingeborg Bestul Bakke were married on 1/4/1896 in Kenyon. Justice Broen officiated.

The Bakke family was from Cannon Falls. The parents were Albert Bakke (1874-2/14/1906) and Emma Ingeborg Bestul Bakke (5/6/1874-3/29/1954). Albert was born in Kenyon and Emma was born near Nansen. They married on 1/4/1896 and moved to Cannon Falls in March 1896. They lived at 2311 Mill Street. Albert was listed as a restaurant clerk in the 1900 census. Emma had boarders when her husband died. Their children were: Roy O. (7/14/1896-2/12/1955), Elmer L. (1/7/1898-10/12/1946), Agnes E. Holmes (later Brown) (3/24/1900-5/6/1936), Violette (Violet) Pauline Gosselin (4/26/1903-6/9/1980), and Irene ("Tubbe") Thompson (3/12/1905-1965).
