Description

Jug: 2011 Iowa Chapter of the Red Wing Collectors Society commemorative jug. The jug is light creamish tan glazed clay. The top part of the jug is brown. On the front side in blue print is an outlined square with print inside that reads "IT PAYS TO TRADE AT / SILVERBERG'S STORE/ Akron, IOWA / ELK POINT, S.D. / WORTHINGTON, MINN. / SLATTON, MINN. / and WAKEFIELD, NEB.". On the back side is imprinted the Iowa Chapter emblem of an outline of the state of Iowa with a wing on the right side. Imprinted in the state is "IOWA CHAPTER / OF / RED WING / COLLECTORS/SOCIETY / founded 1979 / 19th/Annual Commemorative / 2011". Imprinted above that is a shield with the words inside "MAPLE CITY / POTTERY//HAND MADE / U.S.A./ 2011 / MONMOUTH, ILL.". Below the shield to the left is imprinted "M".
