Description
Goggles: a) Military general purpose goggles, M-1944. They are stock no. 74-G-77. The lens are clear plastic. Around the lens is black rubber. There is a snap on the rubber in the center at the top and bottom front to put a different lens in. There is a 3/4" wide green elastic adjustable band. Imprinted on the rubber at the top is "PIONEER SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION/GOGGLES/M-1944".
b) Military goggle lenses for goggles. The lenses are green polarizing, M-1944. They are stock number 74-L-65-220. The lenses are covered in paper on both sides. They are in an envelope that has instructions on care of lenses, how to use lenses as cover-lenses, and diagrams of how to interchange the lenses in the goggles frame. c) Military goggle lenses for goggles. The lenses are green polarizing, Class C, M-1944. They are stock number 74-L-65-220. They are in an envelope that has instructions on care of lenses, how to use lenses as cover-lenses, and diagrams of how to interchange the lenses in the goggles frame.
d) Military goggle lenses. One is clear, Class A, stock no. 74-L-65-200 and two are green polarizing, Class C, stock no. 74-L-65-220. They are in an envelope that has instructions on care of lenses, how to use lenses as cover-lenses, and diagrams of how to interchange the lenses in the goggles frame.
e) Box for military goggles. It is olive drab green with black print. printed on it is "STOCK NO. 74-G-77/GOGGLES, M-1944/TYPE 1 - GENERAL PURPOSE/QUANTITY, ONE". Printed is information about the goggles. Also printed is "PIONEER SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION/GREAT NECK, N.Y.".

Used by Charles B. Carlson. Charles B. Carlson of Red Wing (donor's husband) served with the Army. He enlisted on 2/14/1951 and was honorably discharged on 2/13/1954. He served with the Tank Company of the 23rd Infantry in Korea, North of Seoul by the 38th Parallel.
