Description

Guard, Shin: Baseball catcher's shin guard. The guard is approximately 29" long x 12 1/4" wide at the widest. The front has a red plastic covering fastened with silver fasteners. There are moveable pieces that go over the knee and toe. At mid-calf length is padded red plastic with "Rawlings R OMW" in white. On each side of the leg from mid-calf length down is padded red plastic with a white "R" at the bottom on each side. The back of the shin guard is covered in black grosgrain cotton. There are four sets of adjustable red elastic 1" wide straps (2 at the knees, one at mid-calf length, and one towards the bottom). The straps have a metal hook that hooks onto a metal ring attached by red material loops. On the back left side is a cream label with black print "MADE IN TAIWAN".
Belonged to the donor. He used the equipment from 1998-2000 when playing as a catcher with the Red Wing Aces.
