Description

Stein: Red Wing Seminary beer stein, made in Germany for the H.L. Hjermstad & Co. grocery and dry goods store in Red Wing. Painted and transfer-printed decoration includes a colored image of the Red Wing Seminary building surrounded by foliate ornament, banding is highlighted in red paint. Pewter/aluminum lid and lever impressed with acanthus and rocaille ornament. Bottom is stamped: "Made in Germany for H.L. Hjermstad & Co., Red Wing, Minn."
