Turquoise plastic body with front "metal" grate. The plastic has faded to a muted blue color. There are 2 dials in the top corners - the left is an on/off switch (and possibly volume) and the right is for tuning to the correct station. The station range is from 55 to 160. The bottom of the grill has a small round icon with a picture of a dog and the words "His Masters Voice." There is a bar connected to the top of the radio that swivels and a handle that swings up for easier carrying.
The radio is an RCA Victor Globetrotter 7-BX-8L. The Globetrotter was a prolific product line that included consoles, table models, and portable tube radios (like this one). It was introduce in 1956 and cost $50 (approx. $450 in 2021). It has a "non-breakable Impact case" and a rotate antennae on top.
