Description
Gas mask with canister and canvas haversack carrier bag. Aslo included is a small can of Anti-dimming stick.
Bag is canvas with 2 snaps for closure It has a carrying strap and divided interior for canister on one side and anti-dimming stick and mask on the other side. There is a string attached through a reinforced hole on the right side with additional square rings near the bottom front on both sides,The number 3 is stamped on the front flap. Inside the flap are stamped 'S-18-26', '1226424',and '#-1427-A' The prints overlap obscurring the first digit of the last number. Under the flap on the inside ofthe carrier are the numbers '1226424'
The gas mask is connected tyo a green canister by a cloth covered expanding hose.The mask has 2 glass covered eyeholes a cloth face covering, 5 point black elactic for over the head, nose clip and mouthpiece inside and black metal frame piece below chin. The number 3 is stamped on the front mouth area of the mask cloth. The right side outside has the number 225H140I stamped on it. The hose has the number 22 stamped on it.
The canister is painted green and has tape around the hose connection and a covered hole in the bottom. There is an instructions, record card and repair kit attached to the cannister with string. Inside the cars is an issue date of Feb. 7, 1919 written in blue pen.
