Description
Bottle, Vaccine: Box of 10 vials of the Janssen (J&J) COVID-19 Vaccine, administered by the Goodhue County Department of Health and Human Services.
A white and blue cardboard box contains the 10 vaccine bottles. The box is labeled "Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine / Suspension for Intramuscular Injection / For use under Emergency Use Authorization." Information about the contents, their storage, and manufacturing information are also printed on all sides of the box.
Within the box, separated by cardboard dividers, are 10 glass & metal vaccine bottles. The bottles are each marked by printed labels repeating the majority of the information printed on the box. Several vials still contain a small amount of liquid in the bottom.
The J&J vaccine was manufactured in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic that began in the U.S. in early 2020. These particular doses were administered to residents of Goodhue County during public vaccination clinics organized by the Goodhue County Department of Health and Human Services. At the time of collection, only 3 vaccines were approved for use in the U.S. (Moderna, J&J, and Pfizer). The Goodhue County Department of Health and Human Services distributed both Moderna and J&J doses.
