Description
This is a transmitter for aircraft identification. It sends out a steady signal or can be over ridden to tap out a Morse code message. This may be RAF/RCAF. A circular unit with hinge on left side and lock on the right. The information on the top reads: REF. No. 5C/372 Downward Morse, Upward Morse, Canada in the middle. Small wing like knobs can move to either off and steady mode. At the bottom is written "Switchbox Identification No. 2 Mark III. By unscrewing and pressing the screw down the lid opens up. A diagram and other information is written on a paper label. The mechanics are on the other side.
