A small wood and metal plaque. The profile of a Native American man in a headdress has been shaped into the copper-colored metal to represent the Centennial High School "Chiefs," which was the name and logo of the high school sports teams from 1962-1995. A piece of paper attached to the plaque reads: "Richard Tapp, Jeremy Schrooten, Aaron McClellan, Sean Ryan, Darrin Phillips, Jaret Folstrom. 10-6-89." Below this, another piece of paper attached to the plaque reads: "1989 Centennial CC Option Boys' Champion." There is a little arrow drawn going through the "CC." The plaque was made by former Centennial High School cross country coach Neil Kruse to commemorate the lead runners in his first season as coach.
