China hair receiver with cover. The cover has been broken into two pieces and has been repaired. The base is trimmed in a formal design of gilt with aqua and rose dots. The cover edge has painted pink roses and green leaves.and is trimmed with bands of gilt. Note inside the base reads: “Aunt Josie Thomason gave this ‘hair receiver’ to Lorraine many years ago. It was mended when I received it.”"Hand painted in Nippon" on bottom. Note taped to inner bottom.

Mild accretion on rim and base of base (a). Accretion on top. Loss of paint alon edge of lid (b).
