Title

Quarantine Quilt Along

Creation Date

2020

Description

"When everything went into lockdown because of COVID, many stores and activities moved online and tried to make the best of the situation. One quilt designer held a 'Quarantine Quilt Along' where she provided a free digital pattern and had a day where people from everywhere could sew along with her. The day was March 22 and she provided a playlist of music, live demos of the quilt sewing, special foods and drinks that could be 'shared' as a quilting group across the world. My daughter, Amanda, was locked down with us and we both made a 'quarantine quilt' that day. Some 16,000 people from many different countries around the world were all sewing together using the same pattern on the same day."
