Description
"This 15 1/2 inch roughened wooden spoon, carved out of native wood, has seen much service. Both the Kickapoo and Potowatomie tribes of Oklahoma used it not only to stir, but to serve their food. It was given to me by a Potowatomie woman in 1934."

There is a small hole in the bowl of the spoon. It may have been used as a 'slotted spoon.'
