One (1) pair of keys to the computer drawer used by Bonnie Stanley's business: Office Connection.
"This Windows 95 computer, monitor, and sales register were purchased in 1994 and are all still functioning.  Amazing!  The original cost for the computer was $1,340; custom made and purchased from a local Twin Cities company.  It came with 256mb hard drive and 640k memory.  More surprising was the cost of the 17” monitor - $599!  From 1993 – 2005, Office Connection had a women-owned secretarial business open to the public located on Central Avenue and Lowry in Northeast Minneapolis.  In 2005, we moved the office to Columbia Heights and continued to use this computer and monitor through 2020.  It actually survived Year 2000 – when all equipment was predicted to stop running at the strike of midnight.  The computer was used daily – all day long – as it housed the Point of Sale program for all of our clients and walk-in customers.  It was seldom shut down; perhaps that was the secret to its survival.  They don’t build ‘em like that any more."  --Bonnie Stanley
