Description

A bakelite Blue Star lift arm lighter manufactured by Demley, Inc. To light, the arm would be raised to reveal the flint wheel and wick. The wheel is then manually spun against the flint. To extinguish, the arm is lowered over the lighted wick. This lighter was personalized by James J. Fiorentino with his initials "JF" and "JJF." Along with his initials are those of a "MJI" done in the lovers' initials heart on either side. The wick, flint wheel, and screw cap on the bottom for fuel is missing.
