Gladstone & other volunteer fire departments burn house at 1883 Barclay Street for practiceCreation Date
February 20 1954Description
When developers purchased farms in the 1950's and 60's for housing developments, they typically asked the local volunteer fire departments to burn the older farm buildings. This provided practice for the firefighters in the days before environmental concerns were raised about the smoke.
