This board was once part of a grain drill manufactured in Gladstone, Minnesota. When the St. Paul Plow Company declared bankruptcy in 1903, Octave Poirier bought the buildings and resumed manufacturing farm implements as Poirier Manufacturing. His primary product was grain drills of which he held several patents. Octave suffered a stroke in 1907 and the company declared bankruptcy in 1908.
