The Gloster railroad depot controlled the intersection of the Northern Pacific tracks running north and south and the Soo Line tracks running east and west in Gladstone, MN. A train order was issued to each engine wishing to cross the intersection. Train order #132 allows Northern Pacific engine #1632 to proceed west from Gloster to Trout Brook Junction. Vivian Jenkins was the operator on duty that day and it was unusual for women to be working on the railroad. She was one of two women operators at Gloster. Geographic Names
