Description
A yellow hexagonal "Typhonite Eldorado" 188 HB pencil produced by Dixon Ticonderoga. The pencil has been sharpened down enough that the only visible lettering on the body is "ADO - - 188 HB."

The yellow pencil was formally introduced by the L&C Hardtmuth Co., know Koh-I-Noor Pencil Factory. The color yellow was meant to evoke Imperial China as the highest quality graphite was imported from China during the 19th century.
