Letter Transcription:
Dear Kathy,
I was delighted to get your letter even if it did put a new look summer plans. I had been negotiating with International House for a French girl, but after careful thought we have decided  to postpone French for another year and enjoy another summer with you.
We would you be able to come? Carmine has had a severe heart attack and, though recovering well, will be out for several more months. The means no one to help with the driving at a very busy time. It would be wonderful if you could come earlier this year. Let me know as soon as possible so that I can make plans.
We had a marvelous vacation in Florida---perfect weather and much golf. The kids are very well even if their tans are fading. Cathy is delightful and Butterscotch is frisky.---Hope to see you in very early June.
Sincerely, Abby O'Neill
