Description
In the fall of 1949, Al started work at the depot on the midnight shift. He would receive train orders by telegraph from St. Paul and hand them to the engineer who stopped his train at the depot. In 1949, there were 8 passenger trains that passed the depot every day in addition to many freights. Al worked there 17 years until shortly before the depot closed in 1967.
