Description
This dark golden brown, stove-pipe shaped basket is made from very fine roots and is very flexible. Maiden-hair fern is used in the orange and dark brown design running through the center of the circumference. The basket is 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, and was made by the Tlingit Indians of Alaska. It was given to me by "Millie", a woman who worked at the school in Alaska.

This basket has 24 rows and 17 stitches per inch.
